As highlighted by the Registrar of Credit Unions during his address to the CUMA Spring Conference and other speeches, the Registry of Credit Unions (‘RCU’) will be conducting a Thematic as part of their 2021 supervisory engagement, to assess the level of maturity of risk management in the credit union sector.

This review is being conducted through a detailed inspection of selected documentation in a sample of credit unions, along with some follow-up interviews with officers of the credit union, to be held remotely. The sample of credit unions selected for the Review represents a cross-section of the sector.
